BUNN makes fast-brewing coffee makers and has been based in Springfield, Illinois since 1957. It says most of its commercial equipment is assembled in the USA; the home brewers rely on their own labels.
George Bunn's hot-water tank
George Bunn started the company in Springfield, Illinois in 1957, and its corporate headquarters are still there. BUNN's home brewers keep a tank of water hot between uses, so a 10-cup pot brews in a few minutes instead of waiting for cold water to heat. The Speed Brew Classic, Speed Brew Elite, Velocity Brew and Heat N Brew models all use that design, and there is a high-altitude Speed Brew model.
The family sold BUNN in 2026. It is now part of the Ali Group, a large foodservice equipment group. Local reporting at the time raised questions about the Springfield plant, though no source we found says production is moving.
Assembled in the USA, with imported parts
BUNN's company page says "The majority of all commercial equipment models are assembled at facilities in the USA." It makes no such statement for the home coffee makers. Most of the home brewer listings we read do give the United States as country of origin, and BUNN has long described its home machines as assembled in the US from some internationally sourced components.
So treat a BUNN home brewer as US-assembled, not wholly US-made, and check the box for the origin line on any model you buy.
