Heritage & History
Dog Crazy Designs makes the Snugatti, a patent-pending nestable pet bed described on the company's website as 'DOG Inspired DOG Tested and DOG Approved.' The company operates out of Kasilof, Alaska, a small community on the Kenai Peninsula.
Each Snugatti is hand crafted by a small team the company calls its 'Ninja Sewing' team, with the intricate patent-pending design taking 5-6 hours to construct. The company donates a tiered percentage of annual sales, currently benefiting the local Peninsula Spay Neuter Fund.
Made in Kasilof, Alaska
The Snugatti bed is quality hand crafted in Kasilof, Alaska, using a base filled with premium poly fiber and a nestable top filled with shredded furniture foam. The company states the fiber filling comes from the United States and is made from clean pre-consumer waste, and that its zippers come from YKK, a US business.
Dog Crazy Designs says it offers fair wages and flexible schedules to its sewing team and is working to source more of its fabric from US suppliers. The company states on its site that 'NOTHING Comes From China.'
