Verification in Progress
Streamlight has no products listed right now. The evidence on file doesn't reach the 70% American Score, often because a brand makes some lines in the US and imports others. Each product is scored on its own, so a US-made line can still be listed later.
Our Research Notes
Flashlights and lighting tools manufactured in Eagleville, PA since 1973. Military and law enforcement supplier. Explicit Made in USA on core product lines. claim-partial (severe): Streamlight's own product fact sheets carry the origin line: TLR-1 HL fact sheet #259 'Assembled in the U.S.A.'; ProTac HL USB #189, MicroStream USB #307 and Siege AA #196 each say 'Made In China'. Strion LED HL (#225) and Stinger DS LED (#201) fact sheets and info sheets state no origin; a dealer lists Strion 74750 'Country of Origin: China' (reseller, not proof). Only the TLR weapon lights, Stinger 2020, Survivor/Vulcan, Sidewinder X, PolyTac 1X and scene lights are marked US-assembled ('Built in the USA of U.S. and Foreign Parts'), so most of the consumer range is imported. Streamlight, based in Eagleville, Pennsylvania since 1973, assembles its TLR weapon lights and some professional flashlights there from US and foreign parts. Much of its consumer range, including the Siege AA lantern, is made in China.
What Streamlight builds in Eagleville
Streamlight has been headquartered in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, since 1973, and supplies flashlights to police, fire and military users. Its US-assembled products carry the line "A USA Manufacturer Built in the USA of U.S. and Foreign Parts." Streamlight's own pages mark these lines that way: the TLR weapon lights, the Stinger 2020, the Survivor and Vulcan, the Sidewinder X, the PolyTac 1X and the scene lights. The TLR-1 HL page reads "Assembled in the USA," and its fact sheet says "Assembled in the U.S.A."
What Streamlight makes in China
Many other Streamlight products are imported, and the company's own fact sheets say so. The sheets for the Siege AA compact lantern, the ProTac HL USB flashlight and the MicroStream USB penlight each say "Made In China." The Strion LED HL and Stinger DS LED rechargeable flashlights have fact sheets that state no origin, so treat them as unconfirmed.
The practical rule for a buyer: look for the Built in the USA line on the product page or fact sheet. If it is not there, assume the light is imported.
