How we verified Wholesome Pride

Most recent check: Oct 10, 2026

From the brand's website
We re-read wholesomepride.com on Sep 27, 2026 and did not find an explicit statement about where its products are made. This page relies on the other evidence below.
Amazon listings
We read the live Amazon listing for 7 of the 7 Wholesome Pride products on this page (most recently Oct 10, 2026). 3 of them state US origin on the listing itself:
- “made in the USA” on Wholesome Pride Apple Slices Dog Treats 8 oz
- “Made in USA” on Wholesome Pride Pumpkin Strips Dog Treats
Ongoing monitoring
We scan news for factory closures, offshoring and ownership changes. Last scan Sep 24, 2026: no change found.

These checks are run by our software on a schedule: brand websites are re-read about every three weeks, Amazon listings weekly, and news is scanned monthly. Every flag is checked against its original source before anything on this page changes. How the American Score works.

Heritage & History

Wholesome Pride was established to serve the growing market of pet owners who apply the same clean-eating standards to their dogs that they apply to their own diets. The single-ingredient approach — where each treat contains exactly one ingredient — provides maximum transparency and simplicity in an industry known for complex, difficult-to-interpret ingredient lists.

The American sourcing commitment reflects a consumer preference for domestic supply chains following multiple international pet treat safety scares that affected the market in the 2000s and 2010s. Pet owners who specifically sought American-made treats with verifiable sourcing created demand for brands like Wholesome Pride.

Made in the USA

Wholesome Pride pet treats are made in the USA from American-sourced ingredients. The product line includes single-ingredient treats built around sweet potato, apple slices, blueberries, and protein-based chews — each containing only the featured ingredient with no fillers, preservatives, or artificial additives.

The website explicitly confirms made in USA manufacturing and American ingredient sourcing. For pet owners who want complete ingredient transparency and domestic production, Wholesome Pride provides single-ingredient treats where verification is simple: the ingredient list has one item.
