American-Made Baby & Kids Products

Several small makers build baby and kids products from start to finish in the US. Uncle Goose makes wooden alphabet blocks by hand in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from Great Lakes basswood. BEKA builds wooden blocks and easels in St. Paul, Minnesota. Thirsties sews cloth diapers in Colorado, and Re-Play makes toddler plates and cups from recycled plastic in Florida.

Larger names mix US and imported production. Little Tikes molds its Cozy Coupe, playhouses and slides in Hudson, Ohio, but many of its smaller toys are made in Asia. Step2 molds most of its play kitchens and wagons in Streetsboro and Perrysville, Ohio, and imports some products. For baby food, Beech-Nut makes its puree jars in Amsterdam, New York.
