After serving in the Navy and returning home, Evans began selling socks to coworkers at the chemical plant where he worked as a side business, which grew over more than two decades into a full hosiery mill serving customers from Walmart down to individual resellers.
Today the company, in operation since 2002, is run as a family business with Tommy and Melissa Evans as owners, manufacturing its American Made Socks house brand alongside other in-house sock lines at two plants in Alabama.
