Sewn in Chicago since 1987
Bean Products uses the line "Handmade in Chicago since 1987." Its FAQ says many of its items are made at its Chicago facility and that some products or materials come from other suppliers.
The company lists GOTS-certified organic cotton, hemp, and recycled polyester fill made from plastic bottles among its materials. It also reuses shredded latex foam left over from nearby manufacturers.
What "made in Chicago" means for a bolster
For its cotton and organic cotton yoga bolsters, round and rectangular, Bean Products gives its own origin line: "Sewn in Chicago with imported materials." The sewing happens in Chicago. The fabric and some other inputs come from abroad.
Not every item the company sells is made in house. If a product page carries no origin line, ask before assuming it was sewn in Chicago.
