Sherman-Klove to Williamsport
SK began in the early 1900s as the Sherman-Klove Company, started by Mason H. Sherman and Noah Grover Klove. Its knurled-base sockets arrived in the early to mid 1930s, and Theodore Rueb patented a fine-tooth round-head ratchet for the company in 1934. A patent for the rotating-head Roto-Ratchet followed in 1961, and Symington-Wayne bought the company in 1964.
SK moved its manufacturing and distribution from Sycamore, Illinois to Williamsport, Pennsylvania in November 2021. It is now a sister company of Shop-Vac under GreatStar Industrial USA, which also owns Arrow Fastener and Pony Jorgensen.
