Yoga mats from old wetsuits
SUGA's homepage reads "Yoga mats made in the USA entirely from recycled wetsuits." Its About page says the company was started by a lifelong surfer and yoga practitioner and that it worked with engineers to turn neoprene, which usually ends up in landfills, into a mat.
The line covers the SugaMat, the larger SugaMat XL and a Travel SugaMat.
Encinitas, and what the site doesn't say
SUGA, LLC lists its address at 1106 2nd Street in Encinitas, California, and takes mailed-in wetsuits there for recycling. Customers can also send back their used SUGA mats through two take-back programs.
The site confirms US manufacture but does not say which city the mats are pressed in. Treat Encinitas as the company's base, not a confirmed factory location.
