Verification Notes
Insulated tumblers and drinkware manufactured in North Venice, FL since 1946. Website explicitly states Made in USA. claim-partial (moderate): Classic Tritan tumblers/mugs: Tervis's own 24oz classic page reads 'Each classic tumbler is proudly made in America' and 'Made in the USA'. Stainless line is imported: the Venture 26oz stainless page reads 'Manufactured in China. Designed in and shipped from Florida, USA.' The Amazon titles say 'Made in USA' on every Tervis ASIN including stainless ones - a templated title, overridden by the brand's own product page. Travel lid and handle pages on tervis.com carry no origin line; their Amazon titles state Made in USA, so kept. Unrelated name drift: B08XYBCLCS is listed as '24oz 2-Pack' but the live title is '10oz Wavy, Blue Lid' (classic line, origin unaffected). https://www.tervis.com/made-in-america "Tervis classic tumblers have been built in the USA for over 80 years. ... products are made from BPA/PFAS free Tritan material in the USA. Tervis stainless steel drinkware products, melamine products and some accessories are imported from China."

American-Made Finds
One maker's story, the brands newly listed here, and a few US-made picks, every Thursday.
Tervis was founded in 1946 and makes the products listed here in Osprey, FL. The site lists 14 verified American-made Tervis products.
Detroit invention, Florida factory
Frank Cotter and G. Howlett Davis developed the double-wall tumbler in Detroit in 1946. They built the name from the last letters of their surnames. The business moved to Venice, Florida, and incorporated in 1967.
The last few years have brought changes. Tervis filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September 2024, and in August 2025 it was bought by JV2 Innovative Products. Its plastic tumblers are now made in Osprey, Florida, near its old North Venice home.
Classic is US-made, stainless is not
Tervis puts the split plainly on its own Made in America page: "Tervis classic tumblers have been built in the USA for over 80 years," made from Tritan in the USA, while "Tervis stainless steel drinkware products, melamine products and some accessories are imported from China." A stainless Venture bottle page reads "Manufactured in China. Designed in and shipped from Florida, USA."
That matters because store titles for Tervis items often say Made in USA across the board, stainless included. The brand's own product page is the better guide. If you want a Florida-made Tervis, buy a clear classic tumbler or mug, such as the 16oz and 24oz Clear and Colorful tumblers. Tervis backs its drinkware with a lifetime guarantee.
