The idea for the Wimberley Puzzle Company came to founder JB Manning in 2014 while waiting for light in Glacier National Park's Many Glacier region, after he had mailed a postcard cut into jigsaw puzzle pieces. After years of market, product, and materials research, the Wimberley Puzzle Company was born in 2017.
The puzzles feature a hand-selected collection of Manning's own landscape photography from trips across the United States, including the bluebonnets of Texas and numerous national parks. In October 2018, Manning and his dog Rio moved the company's wide-format printer and laser cutter into an RV to make puzzles on the road.
