About Anchored Northwest
Anchored Northwest hand-pours premium wood wick soy candles in Spokane, Washington, using 100% American-grown soy wax and sustainably harvested cedar wicks.
Heritage & History
Brian and Megan Coon-Dalrymple founded Anchored Northwest in January 2019 in Spokane, Washington, starting with $50 of candle-making supplies purchased from a local Hobby Lobby and their dining room table as their factory. Their mission from day one was to create a candle as eco-friendly as possible while proving genuinely affordable — not the typical premium-price proposition of small-batch artisan goods.
The brand grew rapidly from that humble kitchen-table origin. Today Anchored Northwest candles can be found in over 6,000 retail locations across all 50 states and 14 countries, making it one of the most successful candle brands to emerge from the Pacific Northwest. Despite this growth, every candle remains hand-poured in Spokane, preserving the personal quality and artisanal character that built the brand's reputation.
Made in Spokane, Washington
Everything about an Anchored Northwest candle is designed with American materials and eco-conscious production in mind. The wax is 100% American-grown soy, the wicks are untreated cedar wood harvested from sustainably managed US forests, and the candles contain no dyes, no stearic acid, and no phthalates. The cedar wick provides the distinctive crackling sound that wood-wick candle enthusiasts love, while burning more slowly and evenly than cotton wicks.
The 10-ounce tins with corrugated metal packaging have become a recognizable aesthetic, and the product line spans dozens of nature-inspired and seasonal scents. A full pint (16 oz) Scenic Route line delivers up to 80 hours of burn time. For customers who want candles that smell amazing, burn cleanly, and are genuinely made in America from American materials — Anchored Northwest delivers on every count.
