About Axiom Discs
Axiom Discs is a Michigan-made disc golf brand manufactured by MVP Disc Sports in Marlette, Michigan — all discs made in the USA since the company's founding in 2010.
Made in Michigan, Every Disc
Axiom Discs was launched in 2014 as a companion brand to MVP Disc Sports, which has manufactured disc golf equipment in Marlette, Michigan since 2010. Since the founding of MVP Disc Sports, every disc carrying the MVP or Axiom brand has been manufactured in Michigan — a USA manufacturing commitment maintained through the company's growth from a small operation to one of the sport's major equipment suppliers.
Disc golf has grown substantially as a sport in the United States over the past decade, and most disc manufacturers source from overseas facilities. MVP Disc Sports' decision to maintain domestic Michigan manufacturing reflects both a quality commitment and a belief that close control over production is essential to the consistency that competitive players demand.
Gyro Overmold Technology
Axiom's most distinctive technical feature is the Gyro Overmold rim construction — a two-material approach where a soft outer rim material is molded over a harder flight plate. This creates a rim that provides superior grip while maintaining the flight plate's structural rigidity for consistent aerodynamics. The two-material construction requires precision molding equipment and close quality control that is easier to maintain in a domestic facility.
The Axiom line covers the full range of disc types: putters for short approach shots and putting, midrange discs for control and accuracy, and high-speed distance drivers for maximum distance. Each type uses the Gyro Overmold technology but with different mold geometries optimized for the intended flight characteristics of that disc type.
