About Earthbath
Earthbath has formulated and manufactured natural pet grooming products in California since 1995, building a line of cruelty-free, biodegradable shampoos, conditioners, and grooming wipes that are explicitly free of parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances.
Heritage & History
Paul Armstrong founded Earthwhile Endeavors, Inc. in San Francisco, California in 1995 after a chance encounter with three friends who had developed a natural, effective pet shampoo but needed help bringing it to market. Armstrong saw that the pet grooming category was dominated by products loaded with synthetic chemicals — the same ingredients being phased out of human personal care products — and that pet owners deserved better options.
Earthbath launched with a commitment to formulating products from the cleanest possible ingredients: plant-derived surfactants, aloe vera, oatmeal, and essential oils rather than sulfates, parabens, and artificial fragrances. The San Francisco Bay Area location placed the company at the center of the natural products movement, and the brand grew steadily as awareness of pet health and ingredient transparency increased.
Made in California
All Earthbath products are formulated and manufactured in California by Earthwhile Endeavors, Inc. The company's commitment to domestic production extends to sourcing decisions — Earthbath uses recyclable packaging and concentrated formulas designed to reduce environmental impact at every point in the product lifecycle.
The product line includes shampoos and conditioners for multiple coat types and skin conditions, grooming wipes for between-bath cleaning, grooming foam for cats, and puppy-specific formulas. Every product is cruelty-free, never tested on animals, and formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, phosphates, synthetic dyes, and artificial fragrances. For pet owners who extend the same ingredient standards they apply to human products to their pets' grooming routine, Earthbath provides California-made alternatives to the chemical-laden mainstream.
