About Jonti-Craft
Jonti-Craft has designed and manufactured solid birch wood classroom furniture and educational storage in Wabasso, Minnesota since 1979, equipping American early childhood classrooms with furniture built to last decades.
Minnesota's Classroom Furniture Maker
Jonti-Craft was founded in 1979 in Wabasso, Minnesota and has manufactured educational furniture from Baltic birch wood at the same Minnesota facility ever since. The company built its reputation supplying American preschools, daycare centers, and elementary classrooms with furniture that can withstand years of daily use by young children.
Wabasso, a small town in Redwood County, has sustained Jonti-Craft's manufacturing for over four decades. The company's commitment to its Minnesota community and domestic production has made it a trusted partner for American educational institutions that need furniture built to genuine durability standards.
Baltic Birch Built to Last
Jonti-Craft uses Baltic birch plywood for most of its products because the material offers superior strength and screw-holding ability compared to particleboard alternatives. The rounded edges on every Jonti-Craft piece are a safety feature required by American educational standards — the company has refined its edge-rounding process over decades of production.
From the Toddler-Tough product line for infant rooms to full classroom storage systems for kindergarten, Jonti-Craft covers the furniture needs of early childhood education. Their products carry GREENGUARD Gold certification, meaning emissions are tested to children's health standards — an important consideration for classrooms where young children spend extended time.
