Yes

Lundberg Family Farms is a California rice farm and mill. The family has farmed in Northern California since 1937, when, in the company's words, "Grandpa Albert and Grandma Frances traded Nebraska and the Dust Bowl for Northern California and irrigation," and the company is headquartered at 5311 Midway in Richvale, California. Its own history calls Lundberg "the first U.S.-grown rice brand to launch Regenerative Organic Certified rice," and says its team runs "from the farm to the mill."

One caveat: Lundberg's individual product pages, including its jasmine rice, do not print a per-product origin line, and the company says it also sources from "a tight-knit network of likeminded, independent family farmers." Seasoned products such as risottos contain added seasonings whose origin the brand does not state.

About Lundberg Family Farms

Lundberg Family Farms grows and mills organic rice in Richvale, California, where the family has farmed since 1937. It sells brown, white, jasmine and wild-blend rice, rice cakes and risottos.

From Nebraska to Richvale in 1937

Albert and Frances Lundberg moved from Nebraska to Northern California in 1937 with their four sons. The company's own story puts it in their words: they traded the Dust Bowl for irrigation. The family motto was to leave the land better than they found it.

The sons took the farm organic early. In 1969 the Lundberg brothers agreed to grow organic rice after, by the company's account, about 150 other farmers turned the offer down. In 1973 Homer Lundberg helped found California Certified Organic Farmers, decades before federal organic rules existed. The rice cake business started in the 1970s, when Harlan Lundberg bought cake-making equipment at a trade show.

Grown in Northern California, milled in Richvale

The company is headquartered at 5311 Midway in Richvale and says its team of about 400 runs from the farm to the mill. Rice comes from the family's own fields and from a network of independent family farmers who follow the same organic practices. In 2023 Lundberg became the first U.S.-grown rice brand to launch Regenerative Organic Certified rice.

Plain rice is the simplest buy here: brown, white, jasmine, short grain and the Wild Blend are California rice. Individual product pages do not print a per-product origin line, so the company-wide statement is the evidence. Risottos and seasoned mixes use US-grown rice, but the brand does not say where the added seasonings come from.
