Re-read all 15 live Amazon listings 2026-10-23: no Origin field and no non-US statement on any, so no contradiction and all products kept. Borderline between unverifiable and claim-holds (a brand-store listing states US origin for one product). Our descriptions saying 'Made in Irvine, California' are unsupported: Irvine is HQ, the plant of record is Memphis. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PPY218V "About this item: Made in the USA" unverifiable: meguiars.com (FAQ/About/Our Story) gives only the Irvine CA HQ address, no manufacturing statement. How we verified Meguiar's
Most recent check: Oct 20, 2026
From the brand's website
We re-read meguiars.com on Oct 10, 2026 and did not find an explicit statement about where its products are made. This page relies on the other evidence below.Store listings
We read the live store listing for 14 of the 14 Meguiar's products on this page (most recently Oct 20, 2026). 1 of them states US origin on the listing itself:
- “Made in the USA” on Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax Improved Formula 16oz
These checks are run by our software on a schedule: brand websites are re-read about every three weeks, store listings weekly, and news is scanned monthly. Every flag is checked against its original source before anything on this page changes. How the American Score works.

American-Made Finds
One maker's story, the brands newly listed here, and a few US-made picks, every Thursday.
Meguiar's was founded in 1901 and makes the products listed here in Memphis, TN. The site lists 14 verified American-made Meguiar's products.
A polish maker owned by 3M
Meguiar's dates its story to Frank Meguiar Jr., who, in the company's words, "just wanted to make a better polish." It ran as a family business for generations and is now owned by 3M. The current address on its site is 213 Technology Drive in Irvine, California. That is the head office.
The line runs from consumer waxes to professional compounds: Gold Class Carnauba Plus wax, Ultimate Liquid Wax, Ultimate Compound, M06 Mirror Glaze Cleaner Wax, the Smooth Surface Clay Kit and Hybrid Ceramic Detailer.
What the evidence shows on origin
Meguiar's own pages, including its FAQ and story page, give no manufacturing location. The clearest origin statement we found is on the Ultimate Liquid Wax listing, which says "Made in the USA." EPA facility records list a Meguiar's polish manufacturing plant on East Raines Road in Memphis, Tennessee.
The store listings for the waxes and compounds here show no non-US origin, and most carry no origin line at all. So the US origin rests on that one listing and the plant record, not on a company-wide statement. For any other Meguiar's product, look for an origin line on the label before you buy.
