Cut by machine, sewn by hand
Saddleman's home page says all of its custom seat covers are made in the United States, and its Saddle Blanket FAQ answers "Yes, all Saddleman seat covers are made in the USA." The company digitizes a pattern for each vehicle, cuts the fabric on a robotic cutting machine in its factory and sews each cover by hand. It quotes 45,000 vehicle applications, 15 fabrics and shipping within 5 to 7 days.
The covers use breakaway stitching so seat-mounted airbags can still deploy.
Who owns it and where it is
Saddleman calls itself a family-owned business that has made seat covers for over 40 years. The brand is owned and operated by Aii1, LLC, a New Jersey company, and its listed address is 204 Lackawanna Ave in Woodland Park. The site does not say whether the cutting and sewing happen at that address, so we do not name a factory town.
We found no Saddleman seat cover described as imported. The site does not say where its fabrics, such as the Saddle Blanket weave or the neoprene, are made.
