Santa Ana machining, Fountain Valley assembly
SureFire machines U.S.-sourced aluminum stock into light bodies and parts at its own turning center in Santa Ana, California, then assembles, tests and ships from its facilities in Fountain Valley, California. The company says its flashlights, hands-free lights and WeaponLights are "designed, machined, tested, and assembled in the U.S."
Why the lights are not stamped Made in USA
SureFire says it imports a few components, most notably the LEDs, from makers outside the country. Under the federal Made in USA standard, one substantially foreign part is enough to rule out the label, so the illumination products do not carry it. On a SureFire light, look for the "designed, machined, tested, and assembled in the U.S." wording instead.
Other lines clear the bar. SureFire describes its sound suppressors, rifle magazines and pens as "100% Made in the U.S.A.," and says its 123A lithium batteries and hearing-protection earplugs are still marked that way.
