Partly
Sonder Los Angeles says its black walnut and maple cutting boards are made in the USA. The Alfred page reads "I'm handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA from sustainably sourced American Black Walnut." The Welton and Franklin walnut boards and the Winsome maple board carry the same kind of US-made statement.
| Product line | Made in | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Black walnut cutting boards (Alfred, Welton, Franklin) | USA | Made in USA |
| Winsome maple cutting board | USA | Made in USA |
| Highland teak cutting board | Not stated on its product page | Origin not stated |
| Motley tri-wood and Winsome acacia cutting boards | Not stated on their product pages | Origin not stated |
Several other boards give no origin. The Highland teak board, the Motley tri-wood board and the Winsome acacia board describe their wood and the Los Angeles names behind them, but not where they are made. If US manufacture matters to you, choose the walnut or maple boards that say so on their product pages.
How we checked: On 2026-10-25 we read the origin text on seven Sonder Los Angeles cutting board product pages on sonderla.com.

About Sonder Los Angeles
Sonder Los Angeles sells hardwood cutting boards. Its walnut and maple boards are listed as handmade in the USA from American wood; its teak and tri-wood boards carry no stated origin.
Which boards say USA
Sonder's own product pages for the Alfred, Welton and Franklin walnut boards and the Winsome maple board state US origin. The Alfred page reads "handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA from sustainably sourced American Black Walnut." The Alfred is named for a Los Angeles coffee shop and has a juice groove, three built-in compartments, finger grips and removable rubber feet on both sides.
Which boards don't
The pages for the Highland teak board and the Motley tri-wood board give no country of origin, and the same is true of several other Sonder boards and bread boxes. We have not found a Sonder statement on where those are made.
If origin matters to you, buy the walnut or maple models, which carry the brand's USA statement, and check the packaging on anything else.
