Verification Notes
Submitted via brand form 2026-09-06, reviewed 2026-09-10. bevelandbond.com Our Story: boards are 'cut, glued up and finished by a wood shop in Hubbard, Oregon' / 'Built in Hubbard, Oregon', 'no overseas outsourcing'; FAQ: 'every Bevel & Bond cutting board is proudly made in the USA'. Amazon B0FMDJX1RL title 'Made in USA', bullet 'MADE IN THE USA BY LOCAL WOODWORKERS'; no country-of-origin field. Contract model: founders James Taylor and Jeff Deveau contract an unnamed Hubbard, OR wood shop; Bevel & Bond LLC is registered at a Sheridan, WY registered-agent address; the submitter's IP was in Thailand and the form said Portland, OR (the site says Hubbard). Young brand (c. 2025). EXCEPTION (mild): the Board Balm conditioner (B0FM3R5WDC) makes no US-origin claim and an Amazon reviewer says it is made in China, so it is excluded; only the maple board is listed. Re-check if the brand names its shop or the origin of the balm.

Heritage & History
Bevel & Bond is a young, founder-led brand started by James Taylor and Jeff Deveau, who met while living in Asia and kept trading the same complaint: things bought online as 'premium' rarely arrived that way. Their answer was to make a single cutting board properly rather than a catalogue of compromises, and to put their own names on the support inbox.
The division of labour is simple. Jeff runs the shop side (the wood coming in, the boards going out, and warranty claims), while James writes the brand's journal on wood species, grain construction and board care. Every board carries a five-year warranty against glue-line separation, delamination and other manufacturing defects, which is long for a wooden kitchen tool.
Made in Hubbard, Oregon
The boards are built by a wood shop in Hubbard, a small Willamette Valley town south of Portland. Each one starts as select North American hard maple (Acer saccharum), a dense, closed-grain wood with a Janka hardness of about 1,450 lbf. The maple is cut into end-grain blocks and glued up with food-safe adhesives into a 17 x 13 inch board 1.75 inches thick and weighing about 10 pounds. It is then precision-flattened, hand-sanded, and conditioned with food-grade mineral oil before shipping from Oregon.
The end-grain construction is the point: a knife edge passes between the wood fibres rather than across them, so the surface scars less and blades stay sharp longer. The brand also sells a Board Balm conditioner, but it makes no made-in-USA claim for that product, so only the maple board is listed here.
