Annin Flagmakers, founded in 1847 and still family-owned, makes its flags at three plants in South Boston, Virginia, Cobbs Creek, Virginia and Coshocton, Ohio. Its FAQ says "All of the American, State, Armed Forces, International and Religious flags, and all patriotic decorations, are made in the U.S.A. with materials that are domestic in origin." That covers the Nyl-Glo and Tough-Tex American flags and the state flags.

Annin is open about the exceptions. The same FAQ says some special interest products, "such as the Officially Licensed sports team flags, are imported", and that "some of our hardware items and flagpoles are imported."
